Brian started playing piano at age 6 and took classical piano lessons for 10 years. In 1995, he joined his first band as keyboardist and vocalist in the Joint Chiefs of Brass, a 6 piece 60s and 70s band with horn players. In 1997 he played with Lake Park Group focusing on music from the 60s and 70s, mostly Grateful Dead. In 1999 he hit up several open blues jams in Racine, Kenosha and Northern Illinois and had the chance to jam with some of the great players in the area. Gigged with several different key bands throughout the area and played regularly with the Night Riders Blues Band which opened up for KoKo Taylor and Lonnie Brooks on separate occasions.
In 2000 he joined Concrete Asphalt, hard rockers with punk roots that wrote and played all originals. In 2002 he started writing his own material which has grown to over 100 works. In 2006 he joined Milwaukee's Roadside the Band, a classic rock, blues and country cover band and also fills in with area bands when the opportunity arises.
